Syringe Filter

I really view it as a service he is providing to keep us safe and healthy (just like his testing service). When I saw they were in stock last month I just grabbed 100.

and it's near-impossible to find 0.22um 4mm PES filters from any known manufacturer/wholesaler (in the US), or at least I found it difficult. there's Biomed and that's about it. seems like the supply is extremely limited (I suspect 4mm has only very limited applications) and he's providing a service for barely any money. I mean earlier today he spent a good ten minutes giving me great advice and that was for a $40 order with free shipping!

I was always under the impression PT sells these as a way to market his testing services. There is a good chance users that care enough to filter will eventually have a need to get their peps tested.

It's hard to even turn a profit will multiple low-dollar orders and I don't think he has a minimum order quantity. If he is making 50 cents a filter and the average user orders 10 it is a lot of labor to handle the order, stock/reorder, deal with questions, pack and ship just to make $5.

That all sounds reasonable, but there is still a marketing angle there. He is steering everyone to 4mm filters and whether he is making money off the filters or making money off tests from people who find out about his lab service because he sells filters, there is still a conflict of interest there and a scientific lab should be cognizant of that.

Fwiw I really don't take issue that he is selling these filters. But I'm not crazy about some of the posts I've seen from him on various boards saying that only the 4mm filters make sense in such definitive terms (especially since so many other reports as well as my own experience show that losses for 13mm are being overblown). And I'm definitely not the only one, this stuff has raised more than a few eyebrows in multiple peptide communities.

I just think those working in a scientific field need to be very careful about these types of things and always be transparent when there is a conflict of interest.

I didn't see the sterilized ones on the website. I wonder if the Tisch are sold out.
This was the response form the company about individual sterile filters

SF17512 is not sold as a sterile product, it does not have individual packaging. However, if needed, you could sterilize and repackage them upon receipt. they can be autoclaved at 121C for 30 minutes or undergo 5kg Gamma for 8 hours.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

I have an autoclave at the office so it's not an issue for me. Could instantpot a couple see how it does also ?
