Tirzepatide shortage is over

Shortage will be back quickly, I'd say!
The longshoremen are back to work with a temp agreement, pending litigation in January.. I believe is what I saw.

So I'd bet the shortage won't return. I imagine they ramped up production to account for a mass influx of new scripts. Only time will tell.

But there is a member here who works at a pharmacy. She said she's heard about numerous compounding pharmacies leaving the glp1 market. Imagine we'll know more by the first of the year.

Article in financial times I think, where reporter seemed to doubt shortage was over especially since FDA stated it will take a while for the supply to get into the chain....doesn't sound like the drug is widely available for the current and future patients as is required by the FDA! What a mess!

The pharmacist I talked to said that while they are still having trouble getting the higher doses of Tirz, they are still ending the shortage.

Someone else mentioned that they are giving a 60 day notice to compounding pharmacies. Big pharma has plenty of money to throw at expedited shipping. I would not underestimate the lengths they will go to stuff their greedy pockets full of cash.

It would be interesting to know who determines a shortage and what constitutes one.

Only the 503b pharmacies get the 60 days grace period. The 503a's are fin.

OH really! I thought both of them got a 60 day grace period, but I knew that one of them def got that grace period for sure! like I said they are rushing to try to figure out what to do with themselves and what products they can sell to replace the end of tirz on their end. Are they also stopping the Sema as well or is it just Tirz? Because I saw some of these online places that said they were still offering sema....

This is disappointing and unsurprising. I know a giant influx of clueless people looking for research materials is probably less than ideal but I do hope they can at least get GOOD information from here that will help them in the long run. I don't want to see people left out to dry thanks to the FDA's decision. If you are new and reading this PLEASE do a lot of research before ordering anything and injecting it into your research subject.
I will thank you! However, I am not from reddit. It took me 4 weeks of knocking around the web researching how to find the best price on tirz till I found this forum. I even had to switch browsers to duck duck go. I am very excited about all I have learned in regard to peptides so far.

Hello. I smiled when I read this post ! I am one of the new members you are referring to. I have been doing a lot of research the past week and have narrowed it down to Skye but am still concerned that I haven’t covered all my bases. Saw my peptide (Cagri) test report was done by Jano (I believe does a quality test from my research?). I would love any insight from those of you who are much better informed than I am if I am on the right track? Also, do I still need to quality test myself after I receive my peptide since I already have this Jano report? (I read that testing your source is important to establish credibility in the initial stage). Lastly, should I be filtering the peptide before using it on my RS? Thank you for any advice you all can provide me, it is greatly appreciated. This process has been very difficult to navigate.
Welcome! Not all of us crusty oldsters resent the newbs. I would say most of us don't, even. But we are tired, and very protective of this space, and the waves of new people who need help just keep coming. I understand why; this space saved my life. But I've seen some of the places that helped me the most disappear under the weight of unmet need and greed, so I'm a little cautious.

I spent less than 6 weeks on branded, paying out of pocket, then bought a few vials from Focal Dose- a reputable domestic that since ceased and desisted- while I figured out China. I HIGHLY recommend a reputable domestic for a couple or few months while figuring things out. It is much cheaper than jumping into a sketchy "group buy" and getting shafted with cheap low quality product, or worse.

"Group Buy" has become a pretty much meaningless term now, imo. It used to mean a group of people pooling their resources to get a better deal and leverage better terms and protection for the group. Now, it's more often just a buzzy phrase, an MLM, and true group buys are rare. The good ones do not recruit or advertise, period. Watch and wait. We are on these meds for life. It's worth finding the right ones.

I think some people are confusing what actually constitutes a shortage. The fact that your pharmacy doesn't have a supply of product available for immediate fulfillment is not a shortage. The ability to order it and acquire it makes it "available". I have one life and death pill that usually has to be ordered for me. Insurance companies give a window at the end of your script to allow for the estimated time it would take to get your medication. I realize it doesn't always work out that way but that's true of many medications that aren't on the shortage list.

That's my understanding anyway.

I think this is exactly the argument Lilly made to the FDA: "people can't get the dosages they need, but it has nothing to do with a lack of Tirzepatide, it's really because of xyz".

Now, I'm not 100% sure I believe that, but my opinion also doesn't matter.

So far as "pharma" Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound), there may have been a shortage but I hope people realize there is no shortage if you buy UGLs.

There's a substantial number of long-standing, safe, effective sources that sell Tirzepatide single vial or kits. I could list 8-10 sources I have used, 100mg kits cost $120-$300 depending if the source is domestic or international. I have (5) 300mg kits that cost $230 each… some folks are paying what I paid, they're buying one 15mg pen… I've never had a bad experience using UGLs (my experience ONLY).

Obviously do your research so far as the source(s) here or on other boards… but so far as getting Semaglutide or Retatrutide or Tirzepatide or Cagrilintide, super easy.

But definitely no shortage unless you're dead set on overpriced Pharma Pens.
What is UGL?

Current just tirz. NN hasn't gone after sema yet.
