While researching the whole glass ampule conundrum, I learned you can buy reusable ampule breakers as a way to mitigate getting cut and to reduce glass from entering the vial. You can also use the tube from 3ml luer lock syringe to put over the top of the ampule. It helps create leverage and makes snapping it much easier. If you didn’t know, now you do.
