Trump signed an order stopping the de minimis rule

While researching the whole glass ampule conundrum, I learned you can buy reusable ampule breakers as a way to mitigate getting cut and to reduce glass from entering the vial. You can also use the tube from 3ml luer lock syringe to put over the top of the ampule. It helps create leverage and makes snapping it much easier. If you didn’t know, now you do.😁

More on topic for this thread, I saw today on telegram that Nexaph is selling single vials. I am not sure how to take this. Part of me is disappointed in them. Another part of me just thinks, good for them. I guess a single vial of Tirzepatide for $130 is better than a lot of single vial vendors. Is this a sign of things to come as peptides become more difficult to import from China?

Single Vial sale – NEXAPH

I was very disappointed in the pricing. Deb has far and away much better pricing for Nexaph. Her site requires registration to see the prices:

Like regarding tirz, $125 at Nexaph for one vial of T30 vs. only $36 from Deb ($89 difference):

Wow.. that would have saved me from many injuries back in my "Beplex Forte" days buying from India... :ROFLMAO:

The Neurobion ampules are difficult as well. I wonder if it’s a B Vitamin thing? I have D3 that you could talk into opening. I’m switching to a new B Complex that has Pantothenic Acid in it and I hope they are easier. I ordered openers from Amazon yesterday either way. If they don’t work I’m only out $6.

Today Trump signed an order ending the de minimis rule. The de minimis rule was a tariff loophole on low cost items sent in small amount. Earlier this year, Trump signed an executive order to end the de minimis rule. However, a few days later, Trump backed off that rule. Members of this forum extensively discussed Trump's prior, temporary termination of the de minimis rule. New 10% tariffs on goods from China.

Here is an article on the latest Trump executive order ending the de minimis rule. https://www.reuters.com/markets/trump-considering-revoking-tariff-exemptions-cheap-shipments-china-source-says-2025-04-02/ The rates are somewhat different than the last time Trump revoked the rule.

This means that goods shipped from China will likely face greater scrutiny. That could make buying GLP-1 drugs more difficult in the short term. As a practical matter, increased tariffs, due to their severity, are not likely to last long because making them last will cause a recession. The new tariffs Trump is imposing will end either before or shortly after our country enters into a recession.

As a practical matter, we'll continue to be able to obtain GLP-1 drugs because our vendors will find a way to bring it into our country. It's quite hard to stop the shipment of little things that are worth much. However, it wouldn't be surprising if they become a little more expensive or difficult to obtain in the short term.

Trump is gutting the FDA. That may making obtaining illicit GLP-1 drugs easier.
They will just route it through another country without the tariffs. I'm sure there will be supply interruptions of many things like this, plus you will see research chemical stores raise their prices because they will be able to blame it on tariffs.

Price competition doesn’t stop existing even in the context of dumbshit tariffs. If they’re just raising their prices for funsies then the ones who don’t will enjoy a competitive advantage. So if you see them all raising prices and blaming tariffs you can rest assured they aren’t just being greedy, even if it doesn’t fit your political narrative. The reality is that most businesses avoid raising prices because they don’t like losing customers to the competition.
