Vendor BAC water

A more reliable source like Hospira is so cheap (relatively speaking) that I wondered who in the world way pay to test unknown BAC water (vs just buying Hospira). I wonder if $500 was the "blow off" price to avoid having to test it. Not that a lab would want to turn away business, but I have to imagine that customers requesting to cancel BAC water tests and obtain a refund within a day or two of ordering is a pretty common occurrence (once they come to their senses).
Sure sounded like a blow off price. Seems like it would cost next to nothing to test and should be one of the less complicated to test.

I'm not a business person. However, I'll note that many of the moves that Chinese vendors make do not make business sense as far as I can understand. Remember Zeropeptidegate, where all at once vials from several vendors turned out not to contain peptides? Well, there was one vendor, ASC, that had always charged more than other vendors and had a great reputation. Wouldn't it make sense that at least that vendor, who charges a premium, would reimburse buyers who received zero peptides? In doing so, that vendor would earn the trust of its buyers, who'd likely forgive it for sending zero peptides in the first place. ASC would likely have gained many new buyers from places that didn't honor their warranties. Yet ASC then disappeared. By the way, I almost always understand the business reasons that Eli Lilly acts as it does.
It's the same cost benefit analysis as driving an old beater car without auto insurance (which some people choose to do). If minor problems come up, you "self-insure," if major problems come up, if you've got no assets that others can pursue then there's no mechanism forcing you to make the other person whole.

The rational decision for them is to disappear and start over under a new name once the problem becomes big enough where the hassle factor of starting over becomes less than the cost of making it right. Sadly, us really wanting this to be a high-trust transaction isn't enough to make it one.
