I was looking at the mouse study on Retatrutide and cancer. https://www.nature.com/articles/s44324-025-00054-5 The cancer implications are very interesting on its own, but that is not the purpose of this post. The other thing that caught my eye in the study is that the mice lost 40% to 41% of body weight and stabilized there. We have the Phase II data of 24.2%, but people were still losing weight after 48 weeks. There is no published data on when it plateaus. EL has extended the studies, so it looks like they are trying to find that out.

I have been stacking Tirz and Reta for 8 1/2 months. I have lost 35% of my body weight and I am still losing. I would like to get down to 40% to reach my ideal weight. My question is for people on maintenance or close to maintenance; what percentage of your body weight have you lost? Has anyone hit 40%, or more?

about 28% since october

Tirz until Dec, Reta since then. Started on TRT in October as well. Ipa/Tesa for a bit over two months, two month break, 4IU of HGH now.

5 days of fairly serious lifting very consistently every week, very inconsistent cardio.

48%! 240 -> 125 on Tirz over about 18 months. I’m pretty happy with where I am currently, and have been trying out maintenance for the last month. But I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t tempting to try to lose 5 more so I could say 50%. 😂
That is crazy. Seeing all of the people who are at 40+% makes me ask the question… was that your goal, or did you move the goal posts once you started losing?

Down 45% in 15 months.

Before I began losing weight, there were several arbitrary scale numbers I thought would make me happy, but every time I reach that number, I'm still not happy. I'm hoping to be done soon, but keep saying, "1 more month." I have so much loose skin, you could jump out of a plane with me on your back and safely land a few minutes later.

Has your weight been increasing since starting hgh and trt or have you been able to continue losing?

I've lost 24% of my body weight, but I started at 254 so had a lot to lose (80+ lbs). A BMI chart would make me lose 100+ lbs to be a "normal" weight but I could never realistically fit the "normal" BMI labels without looking gaunt and sick.
Mostly lost my weight on Tirz (I'm up to 10mg). But I did try stacking Reta for ~3 months before the side effects made me give up. If I remember I got up to 4mg.

I have lost 35% on GLP-1s, but 60% from my highest in total. I was 275-280 pounds (5’2) at my highest, I am 111 this morning. I'm at a normal weight for the first time ever, it has been life changing!

Edited to add, it took almost 14 years to lose the first ninety pounds, but I started Mounjaro in July of 2023 and hit my goal in about eight months. It's amazeballs!

10 months on Tirz, here are the current stats:
19% (38 pounds) down, average weekly loss of 0.9 pounds. Currently bouncing between 163-161, giving it another couple weeks before moving my dose up from 10mg to 12mg.

So true, since I started Cagri I came off oxycodone, I had been taking it for twenty years. Cagri works on the hedonic center of the brain, I haven't taken an oxy in a month now.
Wow, really? I didn't know this about Cagri, I'm about to Google it, but any sources to read up more on this effect?

I have no particular study, but have read that Cagrilintide works on the homeostatic and hedonic centers of the brain. So I'm assuming it clicks that sensor for me, I was a bit of a hedonist in my younger years! I had already started reducing my pain meds, but once starting Cagri it was easy. I haven't missed it a bit. Its a miracle really. Google “Cagrilintide hedonic”, you can probably find more there.

Lost 52% of body weight as of this week. Started at 275lbs down to 130lbs. Have been on maintenance for 8 mths.
Wow! That is encouraging. What are you doing for maintenance, and have you been able to keep your weight stable for 8 months?

Tirz was on 13 mg . Stopped one month ago due to dizziness . Restarted it yesterday. 100 lbs first 5 1/2 months……152 lbs since I started April 2024 …. Around 43 percent……… scale keeps dancing between 200 and 205 ……..

28% 218 > 156, Tirz for just under 9 months. Still only taking 6mg weekly. I’ve tried stacking a dose of Reta or Cagri a couple of times. I’ll start maintaining once I lose 16lbs more. My other research subject is at 29% 248 > 177, Tirz only for 8 months, 6mg weekly now.

Now I’m jealous. I’ve only lost 22%. But I’m not in a huge hurry.. I guess. 🙁

51, F, 5'4", SW 190, CW 143 so a little over 25%. I started compounded Tirz in October and have not yet gone above 5mg. My first goal was 150 but I passed that, now I'm not sure what my next goal will be. Getting into the 130's would be nice, but I'm over the moon happy with where I have gotten this far. I never even dreamed this weight, and level of health, was possible for me!

40% 280 --> 169, 43 weeks As of about 30 minutes ago officially Normal BMI of 24.9, 5' 9" 46M.

Tirz and then added small doses of survo at around week 30 3.5 days after tirz to help with appetite supression. 15mg tirz for 20 weeks so far and consistently loosing 2.5lbs a week
