I’m nearly @ desirable weight now, not by BMI but people mention that I’m starting to look skinny.
What would be the best way to wind down from Tirzepatide.
All opinions greatly received be they good or not so.
Thank you all.

Don’t listen to anyone who says you look skinny. If you want to put on healthy weight for you, taper down a little, eat meat, and resistance train.

I have kept my dose that finally got me to my current weight. I do have more of an appetite and crave sugar again, not anything like it was before. I have maintained my weight for over 9 months. I'm afraid if I lower what I take I will start eating everything around me again. #lifetimemeds

GREAT QUESTION and as was said, DON’T listen to people when they hate on you and say “Oh, you’re too skinny now!” In my experience, having lost 30LBS in a little over 3 months with Tirzepatide, those who say that are obese and inflamed haters that don’t want to see anyone else succeed. Tell us what you decide to do and congratulations on your success!

If it were me I would reduce by 0.5 mg a week while keeping a close eye on my hunger and my weight.

Everyone is different but I decided to not have a goal, and just coasted on the same dose until I stopped losing. I stopped at what is a perfect weight, so I plan to just keep coasting. I hit 12 months of tirz in early August, after another 12 months my stash should be thinning out anyways and then I'll reappraise. And of course, if I start gaining at some point I'll adjust as well,

Yeah my spouse said this to me, when I was talking about my goal weight of 120-124 pounds.

“You’ve never been that small! You’ve never been under 125 pounds since we’ve been together.”

Grabs phone, pulls up Apple Health History….click…. annnnnnd present. I fucking love technology.

I’ve been 118 at my lowest in the past 15 years of my over 40 life. I was 124 pounds right before I had to go through chemo for breast cancer. Those meds caused so many issues with inflammation, and insulin resistance. That crap bloated me to my highest (in 20 years) of 165 pounds.

I’m 5’4” and have a small bone frame.

All this being said to say - we know our bodies better than our family, friends, partners. As long as we are healthy, and our doctors are not freaking out, then we are where we should be….and so should you.

Stay well! That’s all you gotta be!

My goal weight of 175 is fast approaching. Currently at 183 from 265. 6 foot male. Currently on 15 mg tirz. I am going to maintain the dose for a couple of months and drop slowly down unless there is weight gain. Long term it would be great to be at a really low or zero dose or transition to metformin long term. Not sure if I can or want to have it prescribed by my doctor as one of the greatest things about using our suppliers is being in the driver's seat as opposed to having to ask a gatekeeper for permission to use whatever medication that we find appropriate.

Bravo!! Not just on the personal success, but especially for recognizing and celebrating the sense of empowerment that comes from managing our health care decisions without having to ask Mom and Dad for permission. Outside the US, many prescription meds are over the counter. Consumers work with pharmacists and bypass doctors. American pharmacists have their hands tied by the MD oligarchy.

I was recently denied a scrip for acyclovir by my PCP to address HSV-1 infection. Almost all of us carry HSV-1. There is a Japanese study showing antivirals reduce Alzheimer’s risk in asymptomatic HSV-1 infected individuals. I have a family history of AD so I figured this is a no brainer. At the very least- it won’t hurt anything. But I was denied. In her AMA-addled and Insurance-managed brain, since I don’t have at least nine cold sore outbreaks per year (Owwww!), antiviral therapy is not indicated.

Found what I needed from a buddy who got his ivermectin and hydroxychloraqin from India during the COVID insanity.

Here’s to living healthy in shades of gray!
