It's a myth that ducks' penises fall off after "breeding season" and grow back when it starts again. First of all, there's no such thing as "breeding season" with ducks; on any random February day I can look outside and see one of my horny little bastards mashing some poor girl's face into the ice while she screams bloody murder because he doesn't know and wouldn't care that the pool is frozen over. And second of all, the fact that ducks even HAVE penises is awfully weird because only about 3 percent of bird species do, but they're not so weird as to full on fall off and regrow like a lizard tail. It's just bullshit that people repeated until it made its way into actual journals as an aside, which then got CITED in things.
