Cerebrolysin: first cycle

Original Cerebrolysin liquid is a cocktail of porcine neural proteins, naturally occurring. Low molecular weight compounds able to cross the blood brain barrier. I’ve seen defenders of the lyophilized powder (typically marketed in 60 mg vials, 6 to a kit) state that it’s the same compound, just freeze dried, and they’ve seen testing to that effect. I do question that, especially if reconning with BAC. Cerebrolysin has sodium hydroxide excipient along with sterile water, making the pH critical. So I’m not sure of the efficacy of reconned powder. The second issue is the total dose delivered - Cerebrolysin is 1075 mg in a 5 ml ampoule (standard concentration is 215 mg/ml) vs 60 mg total in a vial. How do you compare the two?

I haven’t seen any recent testimonials on the powdered variety - would be interested to see some.

does anyone have any experience with "ceravate" tablets? cerebrolysin pills, from intas, the pharma manufacturer that produces cerebrolysin for south asia.

hey everyone. I read through this thread and I'm still a little unclear about the filtering part. are you all filtering as you first draw from the glass ampule or filtering as you do the IM injection?

If it's been covered and I missed it my excuse is that I attended the Derek Zoolander center for kids who cant read good

I filtered twice:

1. First, I used a filter needle to draw the cerebro out of the ampoule. In my mind, this caught any potential glass shards.

2. Next, I got rid of that needle and put on a syringe filter and a regular luer lock needle and filtered into a new syringe (with no needle on, you can inject right into the top of a luer lock syringe)

I bought the 10mL size but only wanted to use 5mL each day, so in step 2, I actually filtered into two syringes, put fresh needles on them with the caps still on, and put one in the fridge for the next day. That worked well for me.

I love this stuff! My brain fog went away and I felt sharp again! It's such a disgusting idea, injecting something made of pigs' brains into my glutes, but man, it worked for me.

thank you for the detailed guide! I'm gonna follow your method! I feel you on the pig brains. I don't even eat pork but I rationalized and justified my way around it by saying "well they're cute little baby pigs" 🤣

You're welcome! I'm glad it seems helpful. Hopefully some other people will share their methods, too.
Lol about the baby pigs!

Has anybody tried the P-21 adamantane?
OK, let's talk about P21 (or P021). I recently bought a kit in a GB and I've been running it IN for the past two weeks. I thought about a new thread, but it should stay here because it's a synthetic derivative of Cerebrolysin, so it's appropriate. Let's look at the Pros and Cons of each:

Cerebrolysin:
  • Proven History: 40+ years of human safety data.
  • Route of Administration: Must be injected (IM or IV). Cannot be taken orally.
  • Broad Action: Targets multiple pathways (blood flow, inflammation, neuronal growth).
  • Sourcing: Hard to obtain in the US (grey market or personal import).
  • Repair: Excellent for repairing minor age-related wear and tear.
  • Animal Origin: Small risk of allergic reaction; not vegan.
P21:
  • Targeted: specifically designed to boost neurogenesis.
  • No Human Safety Data: Long-term risks are unknown.
  • Synthetic: No animal products; lower risk of allergic reaction to foreign proteins.
  • Experimental: You are effectively the test subject.
  • Convenience: Subcutaneous (SubQ) injection (tiny insulin needle) is easier than the large IM needles required for Cerebrolysin.
  • Quality Control: Sold only by research chemical vendors, so purity varies wildly.
What is P21?
From Pep-pedia dot org: "P21 (also known as P021) is a synthetic tetrapeptide derived from the biologically active region of human ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF). Featuring an adamantylated glycine modification for enhanced blood-brain barrier penetration and metabolic stability, P21 promotes neurogenesis, enhances synaptic plasticity, and has shown significant cognitive benefits in preclinical models of Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury, and age-related cognitive decline."

What I have found: My interest in P21 began after my research on cerebrolysin which was based on my TBI history. Multiple TBI's have been linked to the increased potential for the development of Alzheimer's disease and have been conclusively linked to CTE. I found that the ability to administer it intranasally also very attractive since I travel for work regularly, and I have difficulty finding the 30 consecutive days needed for Cerebrolysin. I do have it and plan to use it as some point.

During my search for P21, I discovered that vendors may offer it both with adamantane and without adamantane. The molecular weight for P21 with Adamantane is 578.3 Da. Without adamantane the weight is 400.4 Da. If you decide to add P21 to your research, you MUST find the version with adamantane. I call P21 without it, "sludge", a technical term. This is because that without the adamantane shield, P21 will be destroyed by hepatic and enzymatic action well before it reaches the BBB. Vendors that offer it typically price it at ~$80 as opposed to the adamantane version of ~$300. This is one peptide that you can't cheap out on (like me). I have two kits of sludge now, where the only possible use would be for a contribution to a testing group.

Experiences: I am currently using a spray I reconstituted, and it provides a 500 mcg total dosage. I usually dose in the morning prior to work. I find that it provides a noticable boost to concentration, and more significantly, it seems to give my brain another gear when reading or discussing technical subjects, where I have to do a deep dive for my work. I find that I don''t have to re-read complex emails, articles or posts as often. I just seem to get it the first time. Also, because it stimulates neurogenesis, the effects are a cumulative.

I've seen various protocols, some lasting months and some less. Because P21 also upregulates BDNF and CNTF receptors, I'm going to stay at 500 mcg and cycle it on alternating months to reduce the potential for receptor fatigue. l'll probably try SQ next time. The bonus is that with the adamantane group, either administration method doesn't matter as it passes the BBB easily. Just remember that there are no peer-reviewed human studies. You are the RS in every sense of the term if you decide to research this peptide.
