QSC buy Wise Suspended ACH transfer

Two things - one is to establish the account in advance and even pre-fund it ahead of time so you're ready to go when a sale hits.. Another option is to get PayPal route (funded through a debit card) set up and then you won't have to wait a week for funds to clear... it's an option that works really well. There's a step-by-step guide for that and it works really well.
I swear to god. Fucking coinbase

So I reopened my account. Linked PayPal. Somehow it didn’t link
Tried again, can’t link PayPal. Because it’s already linked to another account

Can’t unlink, doesn’t show it linked anywhere

3 hour wait for support.

what are you linking? (and why?) if you go the paypal route you should not need to link anything to anything..

My other beef is the fees on coinbase were higher than sending a wire.
Check fees for order types..

Market orders are typically higher fees than limit orders (maker).

Without having read through the Act, I'm reasonably confident that the quoted language is not present.

I am a lawyer. However, this is way outside my area of expertise. In my 30 years of a lawyer, I have not ever worked on any legal issue involving money laundering or financial controls intended to prevent money laundering. I'm not going to read through the entire Act trying to find the provision. And I may not even be correct. Perhaps Wise is acting out of the goodness of its heart. But you're welcome to read through the Act.

The act doesn't likely contain that language and likely doesn't give banks unilateral authority to ask for intimate details about the counterparty in the transaction.

I like how people say "the law"... Why? Because it's "the law".

What law or set of laws specifically?

Why did they give the lawyer Viagra? So he'd stand up in court.

People need to stop clinging to broken methods of transferring money. Bitcoin has been doing this perfectly since 2011. Get with the times.

No...I don't think it's theft, because so far as I can tell, QSC never received my money. It's just in the ether somewhere in a Citibank cloud, and QSC can't be bothered to help me get it back.

I guess that's the chance I took on the grey market. But I'm not going to stand by and listen to Tracy say (repeatedly) that wire transfers with errors will be automatically returned. That's a lie, and he knows it is because I have written to them MANY times saying that my transfers have not returned and according to their own bank, they won't ever be returned until QSC tells them it's OK to send them back.
So if QSC doesn't have your money, why would you need them to "until QSC tells them it's OK to send them back."?

If it's in Citibank's "cloud", why doesn't Citibank return the funds?

Money went somewhere...

How do you transfer from PayPal without linking it as a payment source in Coinbase?

Why don't you just use PayPal's crypto services You can just buy Bitcoin and a few others at Paypal.

No Coinbase (the exchange) should be involved if you're using PayPal. Buy PYUSD on PayPal, then send (over Solana network) to your Exodus wallet. You can buy some SOL on Coinbase and send to same Exodus wallet. Then there, in Exodus, use Web3 interface for Jupiter to swap PYUSD into USDC (or USDT) and send that to the vendor from Exodus wallet (do not want to send from Coinbase)..

😳😵‍💫🥴 I wish Zelle would work, safely and securely that is. !

I’ve gone crosseyed…

It's a compliance check: If you can figure out how to successfully do those things and make your purchase, then you've proven yourself smart enough to be able to decide whether to enter the grey market. I've only been able to make purchases through Alibaba Pay and Wise. Wise, I understand, is no longer working for QSC and SRY; it looks like I made my purchases just in time.

The logic is flawed. But that was what I was told, over and over by both Wise and Citibank. They said a phone call from QSC explaining the error would be required to send the transfer back.

Yeah, maybe the overseas drug dealer will call the bank that doesn’t know they are a drug dealer to help you find the money you lost…

All this in a thread about wise shutting them down for being a drug dealer.

Get real, man.

🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ can’t make this shit up…

This conversation was in direct reply to the vendor claiming that no one is ever out money- that either payment is successful and the transaction is completed, or unsuccessful and the money is returned. While you're not wrong that they aren't going to call the bank, it was a conversation showing the vendors statement to be incorrect.

when it comes to wire transfers, no one is never out of anything

It's either successful, then processed

or unsuccessful, then returned.

Wise has been a pain in the ass to many buyers, and not only for us, but other sellers, looks like they are getting more strict in regards of suspected transfers for illegal purchases, so expect more and more censorship in the future.

Our bank accounts receive money without any issues, either from the successful wise wires, or from the regular bank transfers not linked to wise.

But we all know that in future, only crypto is the way. Time for everyone to start learning it to avoid this complications.

I saw. But you’re inferring they should, when that’s obviously ridiculous.

And Tracy probably is correct - the money will likely return to you eventually. The bank won’t just keep it in suspense forever.

So, with wise down I had to wait for communication from QSC for new payment info, had to further request their USDC/Solana info and sent it 30 minutes after receiving that info, only to be told it’s too late for the BF promo. So now what? I’ll have a “store credit”? Why send the info if it was already too late? 🫤

My experience has been QSC pricing goes down almost weekly. There is a cyber Monday sale now that’s cheaper than Black Friday was.

It unfortunately doesn’t have everything I need, mainly lower dose Tirz as I was converting 3 coworkers to grey with this order and it’s not a good look, unfortunately. I don’t know if they’ll be up to try again…so then I’m just stuck with the QSC credit

Just point coworkers to Tracy's email. No need for you to be involved unless you're making money as a middleman.

Prob be another promo soon. Tracy isn’t about to let these other vendors get any business.

I'm not inferring anything, I'm pointing out why the conversation you find so ridiculous occurred. Don't put words in my mouth. I wouldn't expect them to call, either. I literally said that.

Cite the law. Or I call BS
The majority of OFAC sanctions programs are promulgated pursuant to the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, 50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq., which limits the authority to “regulate or prohibit, directly or indirectly . . . any postal, telegraphic, telephonic, or other personal communication, which does not involve a transfer of anything of value . . . or, the importation from any country, or the exportation to any country, whether commercial or otherwise, . . . of any information or informational materials.” 50 U.S.C. § 1702(b)(1), (3).

Sorry, that reply was more intense than I intended looking back at it. All the best to you as well. 😅
Fair enough. If I’m overstepping I apologize. Wish you the best.

WTF is this?!? No death threats, no family insults, just a resolution? I'm taking notes!
