QSC buy Wise Suspended ACH transfer

I tried to use coinbase to send usdt but it was going to take a week to settle the funds. F coinbase
just buy from your debit card. funds get loaded into your account with-in minutes. i use Coinbase.
biggest pet peeve is when they accept usdt but only TRC-20 and not ERC-20... they kept pushing for btc... ugh dont want to use my btc right now.. QSC takes ERC, TRC, BTC, and i think ETH which is nice they have a variety of crypto to use.

Two things - one is to establish the account in advance and even pre-fund it ahead of time so you're ready to go when a sale hits.. Another option is to get PayPal route (funded through a debit card) set up and then you won't have to wait a week for funds to clear... it's an option that works really well. There's a step-by-step guide for that and it works really well.

Don't use USDT with Coinbase.. it's not an optimal choice at all. USDC is the winner, on Solana network... QSC takes both so it's not really an issue.. Solana network and USDC for the win when dealing with Coinbase..

My other beef is the fees on coinbase were higher than sending a wire.

it is unfortunate... and not very obvious - Coinbase does not "like" USDT.. they much prefer USDC.. and hence the former will incur fees that the latter doesn't. On top of that, Coinbase does not support all networks for USDT (namely the cheap one - Solana).. so it's really a suboptimal choice, as you witnessed first hand. Not too late to switch gears, IMHO.. and I'd still say in the long run you wanna be all set up with the "right" stablecoin that has lowest fees..

When "done right," fees should have been between nothing and next-to-nothing... and I'll encourage everyone to ask questions (hopefully beforehand) if there's any doubt or obstacle..plenty of folks who know this stuff can jump in and help out in a timely manner.

Ah. Ok. Good to know for next time. Thanks

when it comes to wire transfers, no one is never out of anything

It's either successful, then processed

or unsuccessful, then returned.

That's not true!

I have over $600 dollars in transfers to QSCs bank made in early September that were never returned. I have sent multiple requests to QSC begging someone to alert the bank that I made an error--I chose "checking" instead of "savings." Tracy and crew have steadfastly refused, saying the money would be returned to my Wise account automatically.

It's been three months. After many, many messages and calls, Wise and Citibank say over and over again that the account holder (QSC) is the only one who can fix this and get my money sent back.

I even gave QSC the number to call! And they won't do it.

So yes, I am "out" a lot of money. And I would be grateful if you would stop spreading misinformation.

No...I don't think it's theft, because so far as I can tell, QSC never received my money. It's just in the ether somewhere in a Citibank cloud, and QSC can't be bothered to help me get it back.

I guess that's the chance I took on the grey market. But I'm not going to stand by and listen to Tracy say (repeatedly) that wire transfers with errors will be automatically returned. That's a lie, and he knows it is because I have written to them MANY times saying that my transfers have not returned and according to their own bank, they won't ever be returned until QSC tells them it's OK to send them back.

While I agree that QSC didn't commit theft, if QSC doesn't fix your problem or at least attempt to do so, that would likely keep me from using Wise again. By the way, about 2 weeks ago I ordered from Wise and QSC did receive my money. While I haven't received my order yet, two weeks is not a lot of time. I didn't have any problem with Wise.

I think someone should tag Tracy. This has go on too long.

I swear to god. Fucking coinbase

So I reopened my account. Linked PayPal. Somehow it didn’t link
Tried again, can’t link PayPal. Because it’s already linked to another account

Can’t unlink, doesn’t show it linked anywhere

3 hour wait for support.

what are you linking? (and why?) if you go the paypal route you should not need to link anything to anything..

Without having read through the Act, I'm reasonably confident that the quoted language is not present.

I am a lawyer. However, this is way outside my area of expertise. In my 30 years of a lawyer, I have not ever worked on any legal issue involving money laundering or financial controls intended to prevent money laundering. I'm not going to read through the entire Act trying to find the provision. And I may not even be correct. Perhaps Wise is acting out of the goodness of its heart. But you're welcome to read through the Act.

The act doesn't likely contain that language and likely doesn't give banks unilateral authority to ask for intimate details about the counterparty in the transaction.

I like how people say "the law"... Why? Because it's "the law".

What law or set of laws specifically?

Why did they give the lawyer Viagra? So he'd stand up in court.

People need to stop clinging to broken methods of transferring money. Bitcoin has been doing this perfectly since 2011. Get with the times.

So if QSC doesn't have your money, why would you need them to "until QSC tells them it's OK to send them back."?

If it's in Citibank's "cloud", why doesn't Citibank return the funds?

Money went somewhere...

How do you transfer from PayPal without linking it as a payment source in Coinbase?
No Coinbase (the exchange) should be involved if you're using PayPal. Buy PYUSD on PayPal, then send (over Solana network) to your Exodus wallet. You can buy some SOL on Coinbase and send to same Exodus wallet. Then there, in Exodus, use Web3 interface for Jupiter to swap PYUSD into USDC (or USDT) and send that to the vendor from Exodus wallet (do not want to send from Coinbase)..
