Cain and his sister site are probably selling plenty though, those prices wouldn't be so high if people weren't paying them.

Not knowing anything, I would venture that sales were already dropping (for the overpriced/ripoff resellers), so risk tolerance was lessening. Or someone they all know was busted or some other insider info.

I mean there are two ways the soon to be new law plays out:
Either it's written narrowly such that compounding pharmacies only get in trouble if they sell "counterfeit" products that are fully reconstituted OR they decide that the law applies to anyone selling "counterfeit" GLP1-related products and nail domestic sellers with running an unlicensed pharmacy (and whatever additional charges might apply there) while they're at it.

If I was in their shoes I wouldn't want to take the gamble on which way it plays out. Not sure how old you are, but it feels strangely reminiscent of back in the day when the RIAA went after Napster (and other file sharing services).

If 5% to 10% of users are going through non-pharma channels, they probably wouldn't care, but when it's gotten to the point where Tiktok users are actively encouraging Lilly's potential customer base to buy elsewhere, pharma is going to put their full weight behind crushing the non-official US supply chain to whatever extent they're able to.

They have always been taking risks, so why stop exactly now? As others have said here and elsewhere, first, there has to be a law. Then it has to be implemented. Congress is slow, the FDA is underfunded, etc. So there is more to the story.

Selling sema at $10 a mg is sleazy anyway (as with Kimera Chems for a vial of sema 5 mg), so good riddance, though GLPs will be back by some of these guys who are just temporarily on the bangwagon to create marketing buzz/urgency.

These guys are all with public websites, so Cain will just get more business in the meantime, including maybe even his EZPeptides site with reta 48-mg kits for over $1800. Until Cain ever gets busted, wisely retires, or stops having a very public website, Cain seems invincible, though so did Napster. But one way the Napster situation was different was that every young person was using it.

It's an excuse to increase demand and temporarily lower prices. More people are becoming informed that these vendors charge same/more than some newbie-friendly compounding pharmacies.

Sooner than later, orfoglipron pills by Elli Lilly will be out for $150 per month self-pay, which is another stressor for these sleazy vendors:

My quick read of the proposed bill mentioned in this thread is that it only applies to compounding pharmacies that are selling their stuff out of state. It may be mean that people who get compounded GLP-1 drugs will have to get them in-state.

Well you work for who pays you , same with congress. Unfortunately their paycheck from the people is dwarfed by lobbying/corporate dollars.
