How much weight have you lost?

22lbs in 12 weeks on Reta ranging from 0.5mg to 2mg and back to 1.25mg. I'm back to my "normal" but not great pre-menopause weight. Goal weight is another 22 lbs away which I've been at various times but never for long. I'm still amazed at how easy the 22 came off after 3 years where different workouts, i- fasting, calorie &macro counting, and going on HRT never made more than a 5 lbs dent. Even if it slows I'm shocked I might reach my GW before the end of the year! I have enough Reta to last a good long while but am starting to wonder if Tirz might be a better maintenance option.

30lbs in 9 weeks. First 4 weeks low/no carb lost 10lbs. Week deciding what to do and gained 5back…
Started Reta at 1mg (7-7-25)
2mg week 2
3mg week 3
4mg week 4
4mg week 5
Down 20lb since 7-7-25 dose every Monday. Food noise close to zero. Strength training 4-5 days per week. Don’t put me down for cardio, please.

Loving it!!

Is it possible that some of that 50 is visceral fat? When women reach menopausal age (including peri-menopausal) visceral fat gets larger and is carried lower on the body. It is notoriously difficult to lose. I lost 90 lbs quickly on Reta but the fat on my upper and lower abdomen wasn't budging. I decided it had to be visceral and added tesamorelin. It's finally melting away, but I have a ton of it, so it'll be months still. I added ipamorelin to help burn it faster and they work well together. I'm still on Reta for the blood sugar control, but I'm convinced Reta doesn't work for this kind of age related visceral. Maybe on younger folks but not on folks over 50.
Anything is possible. But I gained it in a month after being started on a medication that was supposed to “cure” my IBS-D. And she tried to convince me to keep taking it- told me, “50 lbs is nothing.” 😳
Plus I went thru menopause at 46… so I was past it by 2017 by a few years.
