I have read and heard so many positive stories about Reta. I wanted to love it but the fatigue, sleepiness, and lethargy was just too much for me to handle. Like you, I experience very little fatigue/sleepiness from Tirz outside of the normal feeling of sluggishness due to major caloric reduction.
Sema - Did I lose weight, yeah. That was mainly due to the fact that I felt like I was on the verge of throwing up every single second I was awake and couldn't even look at food. Tried to tough it out for 4 weeks, the dose never went up and I never felt any better so I said "Never again!" As far as fatigue/sleepiness goes though I never really felt much on Sema.
Tirz - Up to 12.5mg per week. Feel sluggish at times but can still get done in my life what needs to be done. Steadily losing 1 to 3 pounds a week. I have never had a sweet tooth, Tirz gives me one for sure! I could eat gummy bears and drink Sprite all day and be the happiest dude on earth 🙂 Good thing I can only eat like 10 gummy bears before I feel like I am going to explode.
Reta - Started at 2mg per week then bumped it to 4mg. The most tired and fatigued that I have ever felt in my life was the first time that I had covid, Reta at 4mg was a close second. Falling a sleep at my computer desk, not taking the trash to curb to be picked up... crazy tired and lazy stuff like that. A little dizziness to go with it, almost felt slightly hypo the entire day but a little different. Blood pressure was good, blood sugar was good. It was concerning me enough that I got my blood drawn to check things out. Everything came back looking normal except estrogen was towards the low side of normal, a first for me as I am typically at the high side or normal. Quit Reta and started felling normal within 10 days.
Sema never again, but I will give a Reta another try in the future and report back. Hopefully I was taking something that wasn't Reta and I can enjoy all the benefits with the rest of you all 😉
