Retatrutide Fatigue/Sleepiness

Male here. Dang, I knew that would be important to add, thought I went back and edited that info, guess not. Typically my estrogen comes back at 37 to 40, the time I felt so bad on Reta it came back at 11.4.

I guess theoretically reta could lower estrogen by reducing fat-mediated conversion of T to E, but I never lost enough weight for that to take place. I will try reta again in the future and get bloods taken again regardless of how I feel.

This is VERY interesting.

I just joined a female HRT + GLP -1 sub (I am F48 on HRT - estrogen, progesterone, testosterone) and the women there are saying their E tanked too on GLPs. 1-2 said their T spiked (not all female HRT for us includes T). I don’t recall offhand which GLP-1.

My provider treats to symptoms but watches blood levels for ratios.

Was your T higher than expected?

I asked the Peptide Whisperer himself, Hunter Williams with his wife Taylor, on this morning’s YouTube live, about this exact question and they suggested adding NAD+ and MOTS-C into my stack. Since I already take NAD+, I shall be adding MOTS-C into the research. Let’s hope I get my energy levels back up. If not, I might go back to Tirzepatide.

ANY THOUGHTS FRIENDS? 🤔
How has the Mots-C worked for you? and the Nad+?

I haven’t tired MOTS-C yet and I am doing NAD+ and found no freedom from the fatigue demons. LOL.. Have you tried it?
No I was going to do the SS-31 first since I am older and definitelyhave Mito damage..but its on the list for right after that.

The reason people feel sluggish on these drugs is because you aren’t eating. Other peps might give you a boost but it’s artificial. We really need to focus on what we are consuming and that we have a balanced diet. We are starving ourselves on purpose here to lose weight. The GLPs just make us not think about it.
Forgive me for fangirling, but I just gotta say thank you. I snuck over here a couple of months ago (TikTok of course) and I started watching your comments on here. Gave me great direction. I don’t talk on here or come here much more at all. But I gotta say you’re so helpful! I figured it was a sign since I love pandas or something lol so uh, I guess I gotta thank you because my body is much happier two months in lol

That’s very flattering. This community helps all of us. You are doing the work, and that’s why you feel better! Keep it up!

3 weeks into Reta, at 2mg/ 7 days right now. My experience so fas is that I need to be hypervigilant on what I eat and when. 30-45 mins before gym, whey protein shake (with almond milk) with a banana and a shot of espresso -- good energy for my workout. After gym, electrolyte drink, I use Propel fitness water packs. Next meal will have a min of 40g protein, low fat, moderate carb, trying to keep it around 450-500cal. Last meal will have 50g protein, lotsa veggies, and leave me with 200ish cals to spend on a greek yogurt/ frozen fruit smoothie. I work to be under 1800 cals/ day TDEE for me is 3,000.

So far I do notice a mild fatigue later in the day, worse if I am stuck at the desk working (I am a remote worker) and don't eat right, but not debilitating. I also acknowledge that I am new, and my dose is 2mg.

Same with the late afternoon fatigue. My job isn’t physically demanding either. Going to add in some more research soon to see if that assists with it.

My n=1, it is not lack of calories. I have microdosed all three (s, t, r)- less than half dose once/wk. I experienced “need to sleep an extra day” fatigue without much if any appetite suppression with all three.

I happens on day 2, and with eating the same each day, it’s something other than calories. It spilled into day 3 with sema. I lasted three weeks and had enough dark thoughts I stopped. I went to Reta next thinking it would help bolster energy levels, and it was down to one day of falling-asleep-upright fatigue but firmly there.

I did more reading/research and decided to take more electrolytes. Whatever the cause of loss, I know my system runs lean of them and that they might help with glp-1 fatigue.

I took liquid IV morning and evening of day one, morning of days two and three on a half dose of tirz and I am having FAR less fatigue. As in: Dosed on Friday PM, laid down for my usual Saturday nap and didn’t really need to sleep.

I’m VERY excited for this, it makes these peptides viable for me.

Pursue multiple causes of the fatigue. It may not be calorie count. Calorie timing and electrolytes are options, pay attention to when the fatigue comes and goes for clues.
Thanks for the feedback on this. I will be sure to watch electrolytes carefully. Now days that there are several options for electrolyte capsules, it has been a game changer for me. I can handle much more intake than i normally would.

I’ve been Keto for years and Carnivore for the last couple of years and love eating this way. I did notice I don’t feel the best doing Carnivore while on Tirzepatide/Retatrutide so I now allow for some carbs, but most meals eat no carbs.

Love that I’ve met another Keto/Carnivore brother on here. 😃 BLESSINGS..
Great stuff! Regards friend.

I don’t have the fatigue in ozempic I did.
What I have is insomnia
If I know I’m in for a rough night of sleep, I’ll take half of this sleep-specific gummy about an hour to an hour and a half before bed. I chew it up and let it sit under my tongue for as long as I can. I only use it when I’ve got a full 8 hours to sleep. I’m not a recreational cannabis user in the usual sense (don't like feeling like my brain is powered down while awake, probably why I have trouble sleeping), but for me, this works better than anything else I’ve tried.https://wyldcanna.com/us/products/boysenberry/
