Tirz 2.5 dosage experience

I take daily meds and supplements, I've done my share of recreational drugs (older and wiser now, don't do drugs, kids!)...and I'm a super responder. I "super respond" to many drugs, from OTC to prescribed, so I'm not shocked about this one but I'm pretty grateful!

My RS is the same. RS used to be on low dose Ritalin, both extended and immediate release, and any other very low dose drug produces significant results. As I understand it, this could be because RS’s gut health is pretty good, allowing for quick absorption and processing of drugs, hormones, peptides, etc.

2.5 still going strong with my RS, and I sure hope for $$$ reasons that it stays that way!

Yes this! Definitely I understand money reasons.. Here at maintenance trying to figure out the cheapest maintenance

My rs had their third 2.5 injection Sunday and has no appetite suppression still. They ate a sandwich an hour ago and are hungry again, which has been the story of their life. They can eat and then be hungry a half hour later

I think they’ll do their next dose of 2.5 next Sunday then go to 2.5 Sunday and 2.5 again Thursday and see how that goes for them

I'm curious to know what causes a "super responder" to be so successful at lower doses like 2.5. I started losing 1.5-2lb right away, not sure if I can call myself a super responder or what.

It's not necessarily the starting weight, since the highest the starting weight, the faster/bigger losses at first. In my case, my SW was close to 190lb and I still had considerable losses. Someone at 300lb will definitely lose a lot at first (eve if it's just "water weight" or inflammation)

Maybe it's the comorbidities, like PCOS, hormonal issues or glucose/insulin issues like pre-diabetes insulin resistance, etc.

Maybe it's how strong is the appetite suppression and food aversion? In my case that's a huge factor. I'm truly not hungry and I force myself to eat 800-1000 calories a day.

I know I'm lucky that I respond so well to 2.5 mg and I'm planning on staying at this dose for as long as I can.

I have wondered the same. There must be something else going on that the peptide clears up for some and others don’t have that issue or something

I definitely had a super responder experience at 2.5 to the point i had an anxiety attack at how little i was eating the first week lol. so much of my research has folks confident that you wont see any effects until 5.0 gives the wrong impression even if it is statistically significant.

ive spent my whole life eating huge meals and then still being hungry and now i have to work to eat a banana and a cup of coffee. the tirz might work immediately but my brain is gonna take some time to adjust

Has anyone RS stayed on 2.5 tirz every 5 days for a while?
RS has suspicions they might be a super responder as currently very happy and losing 3lb a week, eating 1400 cals and feeling fine.
Research has been under going for about 7 weeks

Will tolerance eventually happen?
Reading a lot on here where other RS need higher doses and even stacking

RS is feeling very excited about all the possibilities but also wanting to follow the "if it ain't broken don't fix it" philosophy too
Everyone’s results will vary. I know some people who have lost all their weight never going over 5mg. And I know of others who have gone as high as 30 mg. I think some people titrate up too much too soon because they’re not getting results fast enough. Also, it’s normal to have fluctuations in ‘feels’. Some days you may still get hungry; it doesn’t mean the med isn’t working. We are supposed to get hungry; it’s just that we don’t always recognize true hunger signals in our modern, food everywhere society.

Also, as the newness wears off, people may feel they have a developed a tolerance rather than realizing this is their new normal. I remember how mind-blowing my first dose was with the near-immediate shut off of food noise and it was like, “is this how ‘normal’ people feel?!” Now I’m just used to it. Consider yourself lucky and think of all the $$ you’re saving being a super-responder!

Are any other super responders neurodivergent? Self diagnosed or otherwise

RS does feel hungry sometimes but is starting with small portions and finding it is plenty.
I often wondered that too. RS is responding VERY well on lower doses and doesn't feel the fatigue other people feel because RS is already fatigued with life as it is.

I feel this so much. The fatigue hasn't changed a whole lot sometimes. Maybe the day after the shot but at this point not even then. But if anything I feel more motivated I guess because I feel better about things and a better headspace.

That's exactly how I feel. I have slightly more energy (helps I take B12 gummies from Olly) and I try to go to the gym more as well, which also helps with energy the following day. I can say the only thing that sucks is because I am slightly weaker at the gym, it makes me not want to go because my pride is hurt that I'm not as strong anymore lol

Do you find the B12 helps that much? I have a few core supplements that I take. I've heard that multivitamins really don't do a whole lot for you, but I haven't looked a lot into B12 so I could always use the extra energy.

Well, you might not be as strong as you used to be, but you're doing something about it. You're doing 100% more than the people that decided to stay on the couch, so you got that going for you. Don't let your pride get in the way of progress!

I think my rs is going to take another 2.5 four days after their third dose of 2.5 and continue with a sun/thur 2.5 dose schedule, meaning going from 2.5 once a week to 2.5 every 3/4 days

I do find that B12 definitely helps me with energy. It's something I've taken since my early 20s and never strayed from it. I get the extra strength energy gummies from Olly and that helps me A LOT.

If I had your RS, I might just try 3.0 for the next dose.

5.5 first week and averaging 1.7-2.2 each week since for a few months.

For a different perspective, I'm Dr diagnosed ASD and ADHD, and I was a slow responder.

Late June 2023-early November 2023 only lost about 15lb. I titrated slowly due to extreme fatigue. In November I titrated up to 10mg and THEN started the solid, consistent weight loss. I went up to 12.5mg in January of this year, and have remained there. I've lost 85lb overall, so an overall rate of just over 5lb per month and if you look at just November-now, about 6.3lb a month-- so I'm still a pretty slow responder when compared to others. It was super frustrating at first but now I look at it as- I got here when I got here, and my skin had time to shrink back since my loss was slow. I'm within 20lb of goal. My Dr is actually super happy with the slower loss as I've had time to truly reform my eating habits and mindset.

Little late but tirz has a 5 day half-life, which is likely why a lot of people feel hungrier day 6. I'm having my RS go to a 5 day schedule instead of increasing the dose this time due to this.

Medicated ADHD and an apparent super-responder.
Oh this is interesting. My spouse is severe ADHD and is not on any GLP1 medications. We are highly concerned about absorption rate should he go on an GLP1. For him, a day or two without medication is just not going to work for him or ME. So...your medication is absorbed just fine on this medication?
