WARNING: Beware of SRY – Don’t Get Ripped Off!

I think this is a perfect example of the public nature of GLP1F getting Alan's attention. The OP (or OP's) tried for two weeks to get it resolved privately and then turned to a public forum as a last resort. I am 99.9% certain that SRY would have continued to ignore them had they not posted here (and on other sites). They also did everything correctly in the transaction and could not have known that even though SRY "accepts" pyUSD they really don't know how to work with it.

Looks like there will be a resolution after all!

I talked to Simo and my order is being sent to the warehouse. Thank you everyone for the support!

I'm happy they came through for you two! While very late to the game in their response they made is about as good is it can be given the circumstances. They are making it right, threw in some extras, apologized, and are taking steps to prevent it from happening again. Thats what I wanted to see as it's what I would have done.

I don’t understand why folks are determined to use crypto when easier methods with protection are available. SRY are NOT scammers. They’ve always been great to work with. I’ve placed 5 orders with them. Fast shipping. Always use Alibaba Pay. No issues.

I actually prefer crypto. And they haven't always accepted Alibaba Pay. The problem is that there was NOT a clear understanding on SRYs end on accepting PYUSD, but they accepted it. The onus is on them. Does that make them scammers? Not at all. I think they are one of the most honorable vendors still around. But they are not immune to mistakes and need to do better to resolve them when they happen. There is no doubt this post and its companion would not have happened if they made it right over the last 2 weeks.

That being said, I can play devil's advocate a bit and understand that they also get falsely accused of scamming, and probably have their fair share of people trying to scam them. So, if they open their wallet ignorant of how to accept PYUSD and don't see the money, I can't exactly be surprised they might have assumed this was one of those cases. Add a sprinkle of obvious internal and international communication issues, and it is easy to see why it can take so long to resolve something like this.

As expected, they came through in the end, and appear to have learned a new lesson. So, I plan to move forward with my own new order with them shortly.
