What Percentage of Body Weight Have You Lost?

How our perspectives change! An easy pound a week would have been awesome not so long ago.

I had a cabin getaway long weekend where I ate and drank too much, I still lost 0.6 lbs over the week. I felt ungrateful for being a little disappointed, haha.

I was looking at the mouse study on Retatrutide and cancer. https://www.nature.com/articles/s44324-025-00054-5 The cancer implications are very interesting on its own, but that is not the purpose of this post. The other thing that caught my eye in the study is that the mice lost 40% to 41% of body weight and stabilized there. We have the Phase II data of 24.2%, but people were still losing weight after 48 weeks. There is no published data on when it plateaus. EL has extended the studies, so it looks like they are trying to find that out.

I have been stacking Tirz and Reta for 8 1/2 months. I have lost 35% of my body weight and I am still losing. I would like to get down to 40% to reach my ideal weight. My question is for people on maintenance or close to maintenance; what percentage of your body weight have you lost? Has anyone hit 40%, or more?
That is an awesome loss!! I started in October 2024 on Tirz. I haven't gone above 5mg as of yet. Losing approx 1.5 lbs a week. Was thinking of stacking Reta for the extra energy that it supposedly gives. Did you start with Tirz & then add Reta? Or did you just start them both together? If you started with Tirz & then added Reta, did you notice more/faster weight loss? In your experience what did Reta do that Tirz didn't? What are your dosages on your Tirz & Reta stack? I am so sorry for all of the questions; I have been reading so much & even though I have been on Tirz for awhile, I just found this forum - - and it is awesome to hear about others journeys!!

Starting weight 234# on 4/1/24, Current weight 164# on 5/22/25; so down 70# - 29.91% body weight. I have been on Tirz throughout. Lost most from April '24 thru Oct '24 staying at 5mg dose. I plateaued and weight hovered around 175 for months while at 7.5 dose. I just started losing again this month (May '25) at am at 164#. I was fine with maintaining - but I'm more active in the garden - so physical movement and Spring weather has boosted my energy!

If I could give you 2 thumbs up I would.. This is why we are here!

27% since August of last year for a total of 60 lbs so far. I seem to have plateaued on this final stretch with 20 lbs to go, which is a bit annoying but I'm not terribly torn up about it. I can find clothes that fit in almost any store now and my weight isn't impeding my movement anymore so it's still a big win for me. I may try Reta to help with this last bit and hopefully will be able to get more physical activity in (the tirz fatigue really hit me once I got up to the higher doses).

I have been on tirz (Mounjaro) for 9 months and have lost 33% of my body weight. Still got some way to go yet too.

50% exactly, currently 72.5kg bmi 26 was 145kg bmi 52
started 3 years ago got to 76-82kg, went up and down a bit
started semaglutide 1 year ago, horrible nausea despite microdosing 0.2mg/2days
swapped to tirzepatide 15mg 3 months ago, added 3-4mg retatrutide per week about a month ago, less side effects on both than i had with ozempic, losing about 0.5kg/week without constant effort to eat less and being hungry which hopefully makes it sustainable, would be nice to make it to the normal weight range.

35% in 12 months and about 10 lbs to goal. Admittedly a generous goal but don't have any more behind to lose and am currently trying to figure out how to roll up the skin under my jaw.
In clothing there's the Cowl Neck, Funnel Neck and the classic Turtle Neck. Scarves tied using various folds including the classic loop, double loop, French loop (Parisian knot) and shawl wrap amongst others. Tuck excess skin so it doesn't billow over.

It's not advisable to combine one of the tops listed above with a scarf unless you are cold and homeless or avoiding the paparazzi.

15% in 3.5 months. 232# June 1 - > 198# Sept 19. Tirz & Tesa. Shooting for 20% and then maintenance and recomp. Almost all of mine has been VAT so working on redistribution efforts. 🙂 lol

Well I officially hit my goal today... -17%, weight 165.x, BMI 24.5. It took 25 weeks, with the first 12 on 2.0 mg reta and the remainder on 3.0 mg.

But I still have a pot belly/spare tire. I still feel kinda fat, honestly.

So I guess I keep going? I think you cannot target exercise to reduce fat in a specific area, right? What do you do in this situation?

About 35%

I’ve tried:

Reta
HGH
Inj. L-Carn
Metformin
5-amino-1mq
EGCG
Albuterol
SLU-332-PP

Reta was by far the biggest swinger

Congrats AND........... you could attempt to ascertain if the pot belly is visceral fat. Mine certainly was - - was - - A dexa scan (pretty inexpensive) can greatly inform you. I went from a 46" waist to 40" waist (pot belly reduction - little fat elsewhere) between June and now stacking Tesa and Tirz. and a super healthy diet and a lot of strength and cardio work. YMMV
