My guess is that 3 mg is a safe starting dose for those who have been on GLPs before. 3 mg was mostly used as the starting dose in the second phase of the orfo trials. But only 1 mg was used as the starting dose in the third phase/study.
The Uther tablets are small but can be split into four pieces. I used a pill splitter for spitting in two. But to split again, I used my fingers instead. The smallest piece can be used for the first dose.
Another option is to take every other day or so. We will know more when more people start reporting their experiences.
I started at 8 mg of Uther, tested at 9.3 mg. GI sides were definitely moderate/strong at times, even though I was mostly on a break from tirz.
I skipped a day after day three, since the sides were getting a little tiring. Only after that did I try splitting the tablets, but I really didn't need to at that point.
Right now, I am on the 12-mg Uther tablets daily (tested at about 13 mg), along with a low dose of tirz (which I will be raising again).
