Orforglipron: The next big thing?

That was not the issue for me. The split tablets seemed to work just as well.

Orfo itself is stomach resistant: "Orforglipron is inherently resistant to stomach acid and does not require a protective coating to remain effective" (Gemini). I may find an article later.

Still other concerns though, more in theory than anything else. Like one side of the tablet may be stronger than the other.
Seems like that depends on who's manufacturing the pill. I have no doubt that the above is true if Lilly is the manufacturer. I'm less convinced this is the case for gray vendors.

The third/last phase of the orfo trial used 1 mg as a starting dose. Phase two used mostly 3 mg as the starting dose, with more GI side effects.

But the smallest dose available in grey is 6 mg, and some resellers like PGB only sell 12 mg (tested at 13.7 mg). Uther has 8 mg (tested at about 9 mg) and 12 mg (tested at about 13 mg). WWB has 6 mg but no testing available.

Found 6mg caps . 90 capsule for $185 at The Peptique. US company in TX. Fast shipping.
No mass testing on their COA? I see it passed endotoxin testing though.

Though it's good they have the 6 mg, their price per mg is the same as 12 mg elsewhere. And it doesn't take long to titrate up to 12 mg, which is the sweet spot now for orfo tablets.

So if we get 12mg or 6mg tablets it's best to cut in 4ths or 8ths for testing and research to start off with?

There are people who think splitting a tablet is somehow crazy. But I would split when necessary and have before. I am too cheap to pay for 6 mg tablets.

I researched a bit about the tablets. There should be a special coating on it. So splitting makes the medication less effective. But I dont know how they manufactor it in china.

My guess is that 3 mg is a safe starting dose for those who have been on GLPs before. 3 mg was mostly used as the starting dose in the second phase of the orfo trials. But only 1 mg was used as the starting dose in the third phase/study.

The Uther tablets are small but can be split into four pieces. I used a pill splitter for spitting in two. But to split again, I used my fingers instead. The smallest piece can be used for the first dose.

Another option is to take every other day or so. We will know more when more people start reporting their experiences.

I started at 8 mg of Uther, tested at 9.3 mg. GI sides were definitely moderate/strong at times, even though I was mostly on a break from tirz.

I skipped a day after day three, since the sides were getting a little tiring. Only after that did I try splitting the tablets, but I really didn't need to at that point.

Right now, I am on the 12-mg Uther tablets daily (tested at about 13 mg), along with a low dose of tirz (which I will be raising again).
