I had 2 vials shipped to me on Friday via USPS priority mail and it was supposed to have arrived Monday. When I looked Monday morning USPS already had initiated a missing package alert on it. It had made it to Greensboro, NC from Cali but no more updates since departed from facility there. I called and spoke to a rep and he said he honestly had no idea how it ended up going to mail recovery but that is where it’s at and I need to file a claim. He said generally packages don’t end up there unless the label is hard to read, package is damaged, issue with address, etc. I saw the package shipped to me via confirmation it was a flat rate box and label had the correct address on it and very legible.

If I file a missing claim like the rep said, what do I list as the contents that were in it?

Good luck with that. Months later let us know how it works out.

For just two vials, I would not file anything. I would be reluctant to file anything even for a $300 order.

If the package is damaged, the contents could already be exposed (which happened once with an Amazon order of mine, with the mail carrier calling me on the phone). I go by the rule: never order more than you are willing to lose.

The thing is though, I saw the package it was just a flat rate box label was perfect on it and my address was correct. It showed it made it to Greensboro and departed from there Sunday night but early Monday morning USPS already initiated a missing mail package on it, like what prompted them to even do that? I didn’t do and neither did the shipper, whom I know. The rep said it’s weird because they see it showed up at the mail recovery center. Like what flagged it in the first place? I can understand if damaged but I honestly don’t feel that is the case. I’ve never had my address flagged either
