i wonder why they don't just have a option of sending cash in the mail. the crypto gives no more assurances than doing cash.
Anyone else notice that we have people join the forum to bitch about a vendor, even though it’s not necessary, then they disappear after they get their resolution and not contributing anything to the community?

Sure. But I don't have a problem with it. I like as much information as possible, positive or negative. This seemed like a pretty reasonably negative experience, and also a pretty reasonably positive outcome. I would argue that contributes to the community a lot more than some of regular banter on any of the long posts on this forum. Of course, I would hope they would stick around and join other discussions and contribute in other ways, but I'll take what I can get. Just my two cents anyway.
Alan would have resolved those issues without all of the drama that transpired.

It's important for people to be fully informed, though.
Now we are aware: SRY accepts payment in crypto they don't understand, and will give you the runaround until they get someone able to help them fix it.
That's still good information to have to make a fully informed decision on both who to buy from, and which crypto you should choose to use.

And herein lies the problem. This guy was literally trying to save a BUCK by using PYUSD. When buying PYUSD transferring to to an Exodus wallet, converting PYUSD to USDT would cost less than $2 in SOL would have avoided this whole fiasco. Paying with PYUSD did not come at the suggestion of any SRY rep.
