Hospira BAC water availability

I've used research peptides and had HRT for quite a while. I've never found the need for anything other than the subG insulin syringes šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
 
so it stared with buying domestic and reconstituting, and using their COAs, to now buying overseas and testing myself. To now being at a point where bac water may legit be a pain to source?
That said the prepā€™er in me has been messing around with making my own saline bac solutions to reduce volume of dosages. Its is a little like reconstituting peptides except the vial you start of with is empty, and you have 2 - 3 sterile solutions to work with and mix into the one. it can be done.

18 months later: ok folksā€¦ hear me outā€¦ soo Iā€™m thinking we can synthesise our own peptide chains using the following methodā€¦

Also question since I recently bought a whole box of BAC -- should we worry about the exp? Has it been confirmed the alcohol degrades in some way even when sealed? Or is the exp just there for legal reasons?

I regret to tell you @meowTime that Bacteriostatic Water for Injection IS a prescription medicine and therefore under a variety of state and Federal regulations.

That doesn't make the Lily official oppression situation any less absurd, of course.

But can I safely use my Nov 2025 exp BAC water 6 months after its expiration for my totally real and legit prescription that I definitely have?

Benzyl alcohol is very stable. As a reagent-grade chemical it is considered to have a shelf life of 3 years unopened at room temperature per the American Chemical Society.

As we speak there is a year's supply of Bacteriostatic Water in my mailbox. I can easily see myself using the last of it, say two years from now.
 
So for someone like me, who is very new to this, how many vials would be a year's supply? (planning on placing an order....maybe tonight)

Anyone else still using Amazon bac water (going for top-reviewed, with high volume of recent reviews), and insulin syringes, and never had a problem? Or just me?

FYI you don't have to order these in bulk, there's an option to order individual bottles for $3 each (though if you live on the west coast, there's a flat $15 cost for shipping and fuel surcharge - still a great price if you're getting 5+).
 
Who's ordered from AMSCO? I placed an order last Thursday and no movement on shipping though I did get an email from an account manager there asking about setting up details for my practice. I haven't responded but starting to wonder if they are holding my order..

Got the same email. They will ship it, just ignore it. I got mine like 2 or 3 days after my order via FedEx.

Was reading a Q&A on another platform with Janoshik and he said BAC water is not used in Europe for reconstitutionā€¦he uses sterile saline for injections. The things that make you go hmmmšŸ¤”
 
Newbie here....If you are on the 10 mg dose of tirzepatide, what would a year's supply of BAC look like given that most of it seems to come in 30 ml bottles?

Perfect - thanks for sharing! The confirmation email stated 24hr turnaround which was the main thing that made me pause.

Just FYI about AMSCO, theyā€™ve noticed the *very* big uptick in orders in the last couple of weeks. Theyā€™re waiting for a new shipment to their warehouse, so if you order this week it may take an extra day or two to ship. Theyā€™re very confused. I played very dumb.

I had the same experience with AMSCO, Ordered on Thursday, didn't get any shipping info, got an email from a sales guy about potential future orders, and then they just showed up at my door on Monday without warning.

Oooh, interesting. I got the same email but mine didn't have that pointed question, so I figured it was boilerplate and ignored it.

Maybe you can wait it out a couple of days and see if it ships anyway? Or, maybe you can respond in the same professional tone, "Hi, thank you for reaching out. I am an independent researcher and you may list my first and last name as business name for purposes of the account."...? It's hard to tell if this is just a standard letter he's sending to everyone, or if the influx of orders has them sat upright.

I ordered on Monday, no comms since order confirmation email. Says it's still processing.

Forgive me if I'm being obtuse and have missed something obvious. Also, the way you put it ("amphetamines wearing off") really made me laugh, (Sorry, dear @dionysos!)

I've been emailing with them and just ordered a case. They told me they are waiting for a new shipment and said 5-7 days as of Monday.

This worked out exactly as I was hoping! The last stock had an exp date of Nov 2025, so I'm hoping the new batch is closer to 2 years out.

I can't speak to the BAC water, but Amazon syringes feel dull as shit. Like, infuriatingly so. I'll never buy another syringe from Amazon.

My order has been updated to shipped but no tracking. Iā€™m regionally not too far from them so expect it to arrive before the weeks out.

That reminds me, before I bought a full case from AMSCO I bought some supplies (including BAC) from Westend. The tracking sat in my local UPS hub for 5 days and finally updated yesterday to show me the package got sent across the country somehow. After it was just 30 miles away from me.

Maybe your package will arrive this week, maybe it will get sent to Portland instead šŸ™ƒ

I ordered a case on Monday and received my FedEx tracking number today. No weird follow-up question email.

All - my order arrived today. I'd ordered on Thursday 8/8 and it shipped 8/13 (I did not get a shipping notification). It arrived today, and it is, in fact, still the 11/2025 exp date. Hope everyone else who orders gets theirs soon!

Weird.. I wonder what their deal is with shipping notifications.. I ordered on the 12th and it still shows as processing. Was there a tracking # on the package? How do you know it shipped on the 13th?
 
Depending on how it ships...I gave up on US Postal Service having ANY timely shipping updates on tracking...at least half the time it seems it shows up at the house BEFORE their system shows it even moving from the initial pick up...lol

I emailed them this morning to ask, because on the website, it said "status: shipped" and then "delivery date: 8/13" so I was like, uhhh... Help, I haven't received anything, and they wrote me back within the hour to say don't worry, it shipped on the 13th and should be delivered today - and it was.

My order status is still processing so I emailed the acc manager back and now, let see if he replied me or they gonna ship my order or they gonna cancel my order šŸ˜‚
 
So if the Hospira Bac water has a May 2025 expiration date, that means you can't use it after May 2025 even if unopened?
