Hospira BAC water availability

Mine just arrived today from AMSCO. Same, January 2026.

You make an excellent point @ZippityDooDah.

My information comes from input by members here, and ebac-water.com was recommended for listing just a few days ago.

A wide Google search for reviews turned up nothing negative about ebac-water.com
More significant: multiple searches of GLP1forum.com turned up no negative information regarding ebac-water.com

Listing ebac-water.com and making them visible has prompted an informative discussion and a correction of the Bac Water sources list - just as it should.

Absent postings by informed members such as yourself, it is not possible to be fully informed about a vendor.

In surveying the US peptide market I noticed that 4 of the 6 top vendors dropped HOSPIRA brand products in the same 3-day period.

As I have ongoing conversations with some of them I called up an owner and asked about this; it seemed more than coincidence. The result was the NEWS article I published in the Public Square which contained the following quote:

" When asked one prominent peptide-business owner replied "No cease and desist but they have tightened access and it's coming. We refuse to carry some random Chinese made reconstitution solution so it's Hospira or bust for us". He requested anonimity. "

The top peptide vendors are a close-knit group as you doubtless know Zip. My contact spoke as if his sentiments were shared by the others. Should I NOT report this to the forum? Just ignore it?

How is this information Bullshit?
I'm going to reply via PM when I have some more time, but suffice it to say that everything everyone needs to know about this industry past, present, and future is not (nor ever will be) covered in these pages, and I discourage both taking compartmentalized and/or anecdotal information and running with it as "news" as well as accepting a small number of people praising any vendor or supplier as enough to make them worthy for inclusion on any kind of list that people might rely on to make decisions absent sufficient due diligence on their own.

What would you expect the ph of the BAC water to be?

Edit: just looked it up and Pfizer saying 5.0-7.0

So for anyone curious, I randomly picked 2 vials out of the case I got from AMSCO with the nov-25 date, and both were 5ish ph based on the testing strips I got off of amazon.
4.5 - 7.0 pH is the specified range - 5ish is spot on 👍

I'm waiting for ph testing strips to come in, to test the Hospira Bacteriostatic Water (supposedly) from e-bacwater.com that, unfortunately, I bought before learning it could be fake. I now have BAC from Peptide Shop (exp. May 2025), Tydes (exp. Nov 2025) Amsco Med (exp. Jan 2026) as well as from e-bacwater.com with its supposed June 2026 expiration date and the e-bac water is the only one that doesn't look like the others - from the hole in the top of the label, to the different kind of batch #, to the scan code that is very pale, to the lack of a black part of the label with NDC code and expiration date, and it's the only one that says "md for Hospira" . Has anyone else bought from e-bac and tested it? I spent hours yesterday trying to research how to look up ways to determine if it's real or not, and even simply to find out whether Pfizer/Hospira is manufacturing and/or selling BAC water with expiration in June 2026. No luck at all.

Does amsco send out tracking numbe automatically? If not, who should I contact? fedex been bad with delivery stuff to my house
No tracking # sent to me, just showed up. But you can to the Amsco website and into your account to look at orders and see if it has shipped.

I'm new here (used to just using compounded stuff), and I know slightly off topic, but what syringes are you all using to reconstitute the BAC water with your peptides? just trying to have everything in order with Lilly being annoying.
🙂
Same as Dionysos for my syringes

Yes and tested fine

lol maybe i'm really missing out on what a sharp needle feels like, i wasn't finding the amazon ones to be a problem! where do you source yours from?
Update: received syringes from ADW and they are 😍
...but only after having to place an emergency order on Amazon because the shipping was delayed. I managed to find the REALLY shitty ones on Amazon (way worse than my first order), so now I know what ya'll are talking about on all accounts.

So ph tested the e-bac bacteriostatic water. See pic. I used 2ml of the e-bac water directly onto the test strip . . . definitely took off some of the ink dye...a little hard to tell but I THINK it's at the 6 ph? Definitely not 5 or 7.

Or maybe it's 7?! To be honest, I can't tell.

I tested another strip 1 mL e-bac, maybe ph of 7? So that's the top end of what is acceptable.
Yeah, this definitely looks like 7. I also bought from ebac before I got the information about the possibility of them being fake and honestly, they do look fake when compared to the ones I got from AMSCO, I will probably end up tossing them 🙃

The same for me, going to toss. They just look sketchy! And 7 is the high end. But the high end of what? Is it even bac water?

Thx for posting this. I've been searching fpr good prices on Hospira. I didn't want to order 25 if the expiration date was next year.
I ordered from Peptide Shop. What I received from them has expiration date of May 2025

Hi Gwen, I'm considering getting reusable pens... One for tirz and one for the glow protocol I'm going to blend on my own is there a reason you can't do pens for all of yours?

I could..technically...I am just being dramatic I suppose..lol..that's just alot of pens..hahaha
I have Tirz,Glow,Glutathione, separate TB-500/Bpc-157 ( for these old knees.lol), and whatever I decide to top off Tirz with. The Tesa/Ipa just didn't give the suppression support..so going to try Cagri AGAIN.lol
And I will be starting a new one for mental clarity..will update when I start that

Now I get it! And wowza! That's a lot of injecting! I think for the Glow I want to try the pen because it's every day!

Yep...I just went to PepPens and ordered several more. My hubs asked me last night if I could put his in them. So better break out the label maker .lol
Oh that niimbot! I want one of those too! Although I just labeled all my vials yesterday the old fashioned way!

the pens kind of freak me out, i guess i like the sense of control with the manual syringe! maybe i'll try though, i'm adding in a few peps in the coming weeks so it probably makes sense for the daily ones!

You are totally in controll with the ones I use...they aren't the spring loaded kind that scare the hell outta me..lol...I ordered b12 a long time ago and they sent me one of those...I got my finger...hahahaha
Check out PepPens

They aren't autoinjectors. You have complete manual control. You twist the dial to the dosage you want, insert the needle in to your skin, and then push the plunger until it stops.

Hospira vials say Ph is 5.7 (4.5 to 7.0).

So I got an email from them wanting to know my business name and what practice I was in?! Anyone else get questioned like that?
Yes, just didn't respond. Actually ordered it, then talked to the account manager for my "account" because I wanted to confirm expiration date, and he never asked me anything re business name or practice.

Ok good to know! Hope it gets shipped! Thanks
I didn't get a shipping confirmation via email but you can check on your account under orders and it will say ordered or in process, something like that, and then shipped when it is. It arrived in a couple of days!

ha clearly i did not research this properly! thanks for the info.

You must conclude for yourself @MrsMUffin, my own observation is that Noah from Peptide Shop is mistaken on the facts, an opportunist, and likely an ---hole.

There is good reason to expect that an unopened, unfrozen vial of Bacteriostatic Water for Injection USP kept at room temperature in a dark place will last far longer than one year.
Further...
  • "While it is essential to follow proper storage guidelines and use unexpired solutions whenever possible, using bacteriostatic water past its expiration date is generally safe. The expiration date primarily indicates when the manufacturer guarantees the solution’s stability and potency, but it does not mean the solution becomes immediately harmful once it expires."
    - from Bacteriostatic Water Australia, a leading supplier of BWater.

Benzl Alcohol, the anti-microbial active ingredient in Bac Water, is a very stable molecule. As a reagent-grade lab chemical it is considered to have a shelf life of 3 (three) years unopened, room temperature, dark place etc. Numerous suppliers of lab chemicals make the 3 years unopened statement, some suggest that a re-test is warranted after two years unopened.

Also commonly stated by chemical suppliers is that "shelf life after being opened is One Year".

Much of the angst online about Bacteriostatic Water stems from the FDA labelling requirement for "multiple patient/multiple use" scenario that this product was produced for. The "28-day after first use" expiration label is intended to minimize cross-patient infection, not a concern about product age.

In our "single patient/multiple use" scenario there IS NO RISK of cross-patient infection. In fact there was no short expiry date on Hospira Bac Water vials intended for single patient use until recently. The change of labelling requirement by the FDA was made because of improper institutional use of the "single-user" product for extended periods in large patient populations; there were in fact infection outbreaks as might be expected.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a medical professional. This is not a medical recommendation rather it is a collection of my own observations.
Here I am. Sooo, I finally decided to order from Peptideshop, mainly because they ship to Europe (the other suppliers mentioned in this thread don't). I received my 10 vials very quickly, but the expiration date is May 2025. Darn you, Noah! 😂
Could the closeness of the expiration date account for the low price?

Hoping this will be helpful to other users: for 10 vials, applying every possible discount, I spent $79.56 (€73.10); plus, having the parcel been shipped to Italy, €32.86 in Fedex fees and VAT.

This is a question for the manufacturer or for industry specialists. As for me, I am quite confident that bacteriostatic water in intact vials, properly stored, will not turn into poison the exact moment the expiration date strikes.

I placed an order with AMSCO on Monday. The status still says processing and nothing has been delivered. Anyone else experiencing a delay?
