I'm going to shoot for losing 100 pounds in 6 months

Why not pursue TRT treatment through a medical provider until you're in a healthy place (bloodwork is good, weight has come off)?
Probably because he has an enlarged prostate, (and more importantly) an eGFR of ~40 and blood in his urine.

i'd like to get some recommendations. Don't do it doesn't count.

A cazillion guys are going to these clinics for TRT. I don't see how a little of that would hurt.
Generally it wouldn’t really hurt very much. But I would tread carefully since you already have a few minor complications.

If your free testosterone is low, a small dose could be helpful - But as Tomes pointed out, there should be a specific purpose for everything you take. If you don’t have have any symptoms of low T, or if you don’t hit the gym/exercise at least 3-5 days a week - I’d say the risk/reward for your purpose might not be worth it.

My biggest concern in your case would be aromatase, which could counteract any benefits for the purpose of losing fat/cause side effects.

In conclusion, I would recommend getting blood work done before you consider it. If your free T isn’t low, I would probably not add testosterone.

As @milos mentioned, anavar is a better fit for your purpose. 10-20mg per day (the damage from Anavar can more or less be compared to drinking a beer per 10mg). If you do though, you should check your T every 4-6 weeks and make sure it’s not getting suppressed, though it’s unlikely to be at that dose. I’d also test BP regularly.

I have already suggested I think 2 times steroids here, so I will not tell you not to do it, risks are there of course and you have to do your own research first, but what im suggesting for weight loss is the safest steroid around - Oxandrolone or maybe better use SARMS - Ostarine, Ostarine is even under research to be used with Semaglutide to prevent muscle loss. Anyway back to practical tips: get on TRT first and then add low dose Oxandrolone or low dose Ostarine, or you can combine both, since it’s you, the bravest lab rat around! ;) (just kidding OK)

By low dose I mean 10mg daily for both, Oxandrolone maybe can push up to 10mg 2x daily, take it for lets say 2 months max, after 1 month off, watch your liver blood tests while on.

If you are serious about it, you should also get a second opinion from @Bacchus

What I was doing was TRT with dose a little over the limit (150mg/week) + Oxandrolone 10mg 2x daily 6 weeks on and 1 month off. Right now I took a break from TRT to restore my natural test (its already back, I was on HCG the whole time) and im right now on Ostarine 10mg daily

EDIT: you mention before you have enlarge prostate, so you will have to take DHT blocker, dutasteride is the best, but do some more research and again @Bacchus can probably give you some tips too
i don’t have much to add to this, it’s a good and safe approach.

Adding an AI could have its benefits, but it can be a bit of a double edged sword as it takes some experience to regulate your estro “by feel” - and the effects of AIs can be quite reduced if your body fat is high.

If adding T, I would probably do a shorter ester and more frequent injections in order to minimize aromatase and quickly get it out of your system if you experience any side effects.

I'm just trying to figure out how to feel good while I'm losing weight. I started the tesa and did some crunches (just a few hundred not really working that hard) and my stomach felt rock hard. I've never experienced that before. Now on my second week I can't get that back. I don't know if I'm not eating enough, or my pit gland just fell off and can't produce the hormone. If HGH can give me that back, I want to do it.

I also have HCG coming. I read some scare stuff on reddit where they're saying it could be contaminated with mad cow disease. Is that fear mongering?

I feel like there is too much ado about my kidney function. It did the same thing last time I had a stone and bounced right back.

so the solution is steroids? (not saying you think this)
its not a solution for sure, he just said don't tell me don't do it ... so I gave him suggestion, better than if he goes to reddit and reads about high dose Trenbolone ...

I miss the point about aromatase, its a good logical point! That's why I ask for your input! Thanks ...

Also @Dee X made a very good point

but if he really wants to take everything possible that can help him with his goal, which he already does anyway, steroids will certainly help with weight loss while preserving muscle mass.

I think people are kidding themselves with the weightlifting. You weightlift when you're gaining weight. Bodybuilders go thru a constant cycle of eating like crazy and lifting then cutting expecting to lose muscle. I've got plenty of muscle.
He also isn't interested in putting in the work to preserve muscle.

Judging by how many people use HCG and how many cases there were s of mad cow disease… Pure fear mongering and total bs.

HgH’s effect for both fat loss and muscle building is exaggerated in my opinion - unless you have a synergistic effect from testo and/or other steroids - in addition to a lot more than a medical dose.

Don’t get me wrong, it has effect and it works, but not instantly with shocking results.

If you want shocking and quick results, you also got to abuse your body quite harshly… That’s just how it is.

As for feeling good, it’s probably not the answer you want. But from dealing with bodydismorphia and frustration over results being slow - taking dosages of stuff that are far from sane and being told by several doctors that I have won the lottery considering the lack of severe side effects…

The answer is to find a way to be content, be happy about improving and let things take time.

Reaching a specific arbitrary goal, isn’t really going to make any difference at all 🤷‍♂️

This comment made me think of my friend (now in his late 50's)...He literally drinks a 5th of whiskey a day...no kidding. Only drinks at night when he gets home from work and never misses a day of work in decades. Liver and all other blood work comes back good every time. I tell him all the time he is one lucky SOB. I tell him he won the lottery when it comes to internal organs. I know someday his luck will run out. We had another friend who drank 1/2 as much and died in late 40's from liver failure (bad organ lottery for him).
The problem is you never know what ticket you got until it's too late!
I never drink or smoke...Whenever I go to the doctor and they asked the questions about drinking/smoking I always say, "No, No, I'm obese! I CAN'T afford to have any other bad habits!"

Blood in urine and low kidney function not good….. you are dehydrated too. Gonna get referred to nephrology? Could be from dehydration …… it is considered grade 3 chronic kidney disease …. Unless it is acute from a drug or dehydration……..
I am glad you are a member here, Revo. I heart NPs.

Thanks. I enjoy it. 22 years so far as an RN… 15 of them as an NP. Unfortunately have witness many inappropriate uses of Testosterone and the consequences both illicit and by providers…. Had my first Overdose of monjaro 2 weeks ago ….. 2 liters of Fluid, zofran and toradol made them better…. Was interesting…… kidneys took a hit too due to dehydration

Thought this guy is relevant. He pushed it pretty extreme, lost 150lbs while keeping most muscle possible. Used a trt clinic, peptides, quit his job and worked out 3 times a day for a year.

As a 20+ year member of AA (and NA), I could not agree with you more 😔

Great to hear your success!
If you don't mind me asking I am wondering if you have noticed any help/relief with those addictions while taking glp1 meds. I believe I have seen this mentioned somewhere.
I have a niece who really needs to loose weight and also has a severe alcohol issue (falling down/passing out level) but isn't ready to get help...I've casually mentioned glp1 meds to her. Wondering if the glp1's might also be a "backdoor" that ends up helping her with both if she tries them. I'm pretty sure she didn't win the good organ lottery. Sadly not sure she will make it another 10 years the way she is going...:(

No, I don't mind your question :)
I am very sorry to hear about your niece. She is certainly not headed toward a happy future, and she must be suffering very much, whether she is able to admit it or not.
In my own particular case, my drug and alcohol addictions were lifted two decades ago solely through the 12-step program. But I have read many, many posts on the various Reddit tirz/sema subs which convey how their desire to drink is gone. Some normal drinkers actually complain about it, lol. But the people who had long been secretly wishing they could stop seem ... awestruck that they have lost their desire for it.
Much could be said about how this medication would not be a permanent solution for alcoholism, that there are deeper issues and behaviors that need changing… people say that about people losing weight on the GLP drugs, right?
I don't disagree…but I do think that a person who is starting to feel better about themselves — by not drinking, by losing weight, by maybe feeling some hope after a long time — has a better chance of seeing things a different way, and being able/willing to take even more steps towards a happier future. 🙏🏻

It's been about six weeks down 30. I know it's going to take a lot. I'm going to have to do some fasting and ride an exercise bike every day. Really hump it good. So far i have done no exercise.

Had 2 doses script Zepbound 2.5. Then 2-2.5 research tirz then 2-5 research tirz. And a little Reta at 1mg/2mg with the tirz. Maybe switch over to Reta because it makes me feel good. Hording the script zep for the wife.

I think it's possible with these drugs and hard work and eating like a supermodel on top of them.
How’s the weight loss going?

218 so I have 45 to go with only 3.5 months left. I don't think I'm going to make it but that's OK. I don't look pregnant in a t-shirt anymore so I'm already very pleased.

I am finding the cagri works the best for me. It's best at suppressing appetite and doesn't make my heart rate go to 120 bpm.
