I am on the first month of tirz, so 2.5 mgs, and only recently learned of reta. Would it make more sense to just do reta or to stack with tirz?
This is the best take, IMO.You're on an introductory dose of the most proven effective FDA approved drug for weightloss. If you paid Lily's price for Tirz you'd be taking this more seriously and not having FOMO.
Another vote for sticking with the Tirz.
Myself have been doing that for a month now.Stacking the two wouldn’t make much sense, they hit overlapping receptors, so you’d double up on side effects without added benefit. Better to ride Tirz through dose escalation and see how your body responds before even thinking about switching or combining.
Not true, if you take less of each, and dont take on the same days. I am stacking these, as have many others quite successfully. The only side effect I have gotten is sleepiness in the afternoons. My food noise is absent, so is hunger. I eat to reach goals and mostly feel great. I am dosing under both protocals.Stacking the two wouldn’t make much sense, they hit overlapping receptors, so you’d double up on side effects without added benefit. The tirz won't hit your glucagon receptor. Not true, if you take less of each, and dont take on the same days. I am stacking these, as have many others quite successfully. The emphasis of Reta on the other receptors, combined with Tirz emphasis on Glp1 means they fit together like a puzzle. So far it is working well for me.
Too bad Eli Lilly couldn’t figure this out when they formulated reta. They would have had a real blockbuster on their hands. The emphasis of Reta on the other receptors, combined with Tirz emphasis on Glp1 means they fit together like a puzzle.
From my understanding the initial dosing schedule being once weekly was to give the receptors a slight break for a couple days. The tirz won't hit your glucagon receptor.
I've been enjoying excellent results on Tirz alone. Started May 5, down 51.8 pounds as of today. Recommend sticking with Tirz alone to see how it goesI am on the first month of tirz, so 2.5 mgs, and only recently learned of reta. Would it make more sense to just do reta or to stack with tirz?
you should wait, give your brain time to adjust.I started on Tirzepatide and lost 20 lbs in a month and heard about reta so I switched, I started at 2 for 2 weeks and I bumped it up to 3 last week ( so I had enough until my order came in) but I have only lost 1 lb. I hardly eat. Im definitely in a calorie deficit. My work keeps me on my feet and walking lots, and I've been doing weights in the morning before work. I havent been eating shitty. I was wondering if I should stack tirz and reta. Or just wait and ride out the reta and go up in the dose. Or switch back to tirz.
good replies to your post, but i'll just reiterate, not much reason to stack any additional weight loss pep when you are so early in the tirz journey. just adding more cost, more jabs, more risk, more side effects. see how tirz goes for you first, seems like most people get great results for up to a year on tirz aloneI am on the first month of tirz, so 2.5 mgs, and only recently learned of reta.
