What Percentage of Body Weight Have You Lost?

I was looking at the mouse study on Retatrutide and cancer. https://www.nature.com/articles/s44324-025-00054-5 The cancer implications are very interesting on its own, but that is not the purpose of this post. The other thing that caught my eye in the study is that the mice lost 40% to 41% of body weight and stabilized there. We have the Phase II data of 24.2%, but people were still losing weight after 48 weeks. There is no published data on when it plateaus. EL has extended the studies, so it looks like they are trying to find that out.

I have been stacking Tirz and Reta for 8 1/2 months. I have lost 35% of my body weight and I am still losing. I would like to get down to 40% to reach my ideal weight. My question is for people on maintenance or close to maintenance; what percentage of your body weight have you lost? Has anyone hit 40%, or more?
I lost 20 percent of my weight. However, I had to add a second weight loss drug to get there. I probably would have gotten to 20 percent on tirz alone if I could tolerated the maximum dose.

I believe the people who are posting are on the high side of what people typically lose.

7% in 13 weeks, but I’ve only been able to run 2 weeks cycles (i.e. 1 dose per week for 2 weeks and then none for 2 weeks) at a time because of my job. I am completely fine with the slower progress as it’s still a heck of a lot faster than I was able to do it the previous 2 years. I’ll be retired soon and can research uninterrupted after that.

Just a couple days past 14 months into the research, I am down 35.5%. Or put another way, 101 pounds. Six of those pounds came in the last week because I switched to reta from tirz. I'm titrating down the reta right now because the appetite suppression is too strong for me at the dose I have been taking and it's hard to get proper nutrition.

I'll most likely switch back to tirz for maintenance after another 10 pounds or so. I titrated it down a bit for a month leading up to my trip to Disneyland in October and it worked out wonderfully. Weight loss stopped, but did not reverse, and no side effects all, even minor ones. Could be happy on that dose forever.

I started Tirz in August and have lost 22% of my weight so far. I have not added exercise in yet because I was large and dis not more around the best. I will be adding cardio starting Monday. I am still on about 5mg may have to move up from getting a little food noise. I am happy so far with the progress and now losing about 2 lbs a week.

I started using Tirz in July '25, with BMI of 47.6 -start weight 322 pounds. Now, after a few months when things slowed down, mixing a little Reta into the mix to offset the lengthy plateaus , I am now BMI 38.2 - current weight 258 pounds. Lost 63.2 pounds - have 117 pounds remaining. Rule of thumb: keep going and doing the shots 🙂

17% down (35lbs) since September 19. only Reta. I love it so much. I'm still overweight but not obese for the first time in years, I didn't think 35lbs would be THAT big a difference, but it really has improved almost every quality of my day to day life.

Yeah, I think that it's widely accepted that BMI is not the best indicator for many, especially for tall or short people. Doesn't work for me either.
